Week 4

Last week I was able to move through phase 1 of my project. Completing phase 1 allowed my client to pick out colors and layout aspects of the website. Now entering into phases 2 and 3 of the project I am focusing on site structure, wireframes, and mockups for the website. To help with the site structuring and wireframes I used flowmapp.com. Flowmapp allows you to create a site structure map by creating site blocks. From these blocks, you can choose to show what content will be included for each page. It even makes it easy for you to generate wireframes for each page from the site blocks. The wireframing tools have some basic templates for navigation, headers, content, contact forms, blogs, and many more. Each template can be edited to customize the wireframe a little more. I enjoyed using this tool, it made the structuring and wireframing tasks easier. I have only used the free version which only lets you structure out 20 pages. For this week I will be making a mockup to get approval before moving on to coding out the website.
